Sherwin-Williams selected Urbane Bronze for 2021, a deep gray-brown with a grounded character. Although color cycles move on, the idea behind it remains useful: a dark neutral can feel quiet rather than severe when it is balanced by warm light and natural texture.
Deeper colors work especially well on a fireplace wall, built-in, powder room or other defined surface. Sampling in the actual room is essential because exposure, bulb temperature and adjacent finishes shift how a color reads.
